Streszczenie

Zewnątrzkomórkowa dysmutaza ponadtlenkowa (EC−SOD) jest tetrameryczną glikoproteiną. Takie same monomery są zbudowane z 222 reszt aminokwasowych. Miejscem katalitycznym EC−dysmutazy są jony miedziowe i cynkowe oraz reszta Arg93 i His113. Przeprowadza ona reakcję dysmutacji anionorodnika ponadtlenkowego do nadtlenku wodoru i tlenu cząsteczkowego. Zapobiega to reakcji tego anionorodnika z tlenkiem azotu i powstawaniu nadtlenoazotynu. Tlenek azotu zapewnia prawidłowy tonus naczyniowy. Nadtlenoazotyn modyfikuje białka, lipidy i inne składniki strukturalne ściany naczyniowej. Zmiany aktywności EC−dysmutazy ponadtlenkowej w ścianie naczyniowej obserwuje się w wielu stanach patologicznych tętnic, naczyń włosowatych i żył, zarówno miejscowych, jak i układowych.

Abstract

The extracellular superoxide dismutase (EC−SOD) is a tetrameric glykoprotein. Identical monomers are built with 222 amino acid residues. Copper and zinc ions, as well as the Arg93 and His113 residue, are the catalytic site of EC−dismutase. It carries out the reaction of dismutation of superoxide anion to hydrogen peroxide and molecular oxygen. It prevents the reaction of superoxide anion with nitric oxide and peroxynitrite formation. Nitric oxide conditions normal vascular tonus. Peroxynitrite modifies proteins, lipids, and other structural compounds of the vascular wall. The changes of activity of EC−superoxide dismutase in vascular walls are observed in many local or systemic pathological conditions in the artery walls, capillaries, and veins.
