Abstract
Intestinal transplantation is evolving into a standard of care for children with intestinal failure who no longer can be maintained on PN. Advances in immunosuppression in addition to effective monitoring techniques for opportunistic infections have resulted in achieving improved outcome with less morbidity. This article highlights the evolution of intestinal transplantation and current advances.
